okay, first thing's first:

random.

Despite my best (and somewhat successful) efforts to popularise 'bagurk', I have no choice but to acknowledge 'random' as the word of 2005. Fair enough; it's a decent word.

Moving on to other topics, how good are bacon and egg mcmuffins! I had maccas for breakfast (caught the bus from chermside, having gotten a lift there) and I was thinking "geez, they must surely get food technologists to desgin their food because damn... no run of the mill burger making person could come up with something as delicious as this!".

Also, I've decided to call winter a few days early, because it was damn cold this morning! Winter has now officially begun, so if anyone asks you what season it is, say "Winter!" with much gusto and enthusiasm.

Folding Update: I've moved up to 17th place in team MozillaZine, which is damn cool because 17 is my favourite number. But perhaps not anymore... 55 is ranking pretty high in my books at the moment, but that's a story for another time (won't be long, though). Either way, 17 still does, and forever will, hold a special place in my heart. So yay.

The Atomic UQ Meet is this avo at the Red Room, which I'm looking forward to. For those playing at home, expected attendees are iorek, estate, �ber-Bantumi, brains, Sxio, and possibly one or two others, besides myself.

Well, it's been a little while since my last little piece of bloggage, so time for an update.

EPIDSOE THREE WAS AEWSOME!!! SO AWEOMSE I CAN'T EVNE SPELL!!!!

Oh man! It was just so damn good! The more I think about it the more I am stunned by it's awesomeness! I went with Timmy and we had the best time catching up too, but it was all about the Star Wars and disappointed, we were not</yoda>.

I bumped into Dan Lyons in the foyer before the show, and caught up for a bit. He was there with Steve Packer and a few others, but they'd already gone in. Packer had his (long, blonde) hair done up Leia style, but I only know this by word of Dan. It was, however, confirmed by Packer himself last night; here's hoping someone got photographs.

And that's about all that's new in my life. Aside from the excitement of Episode III it's been nothing but uni, work and music practice, since I have 3 concerts in the coming weeks. My blogging shall be minimal until the rush is over.

so I was over at Seeley's the other day, having been sent on a custard powder finding odyssee, and as we were catching up briefly, I noticed this strange looking contraption sitting beside his computer... so naturally I asked about it.

Said Seeley, im a matter of factual manner, "Oh, that. I use that to hold the phone to my head."

Howdy friends and other randoms...

As you may have noticed, my bloggings have been few and far between of late. there is no particular reason for this other than the fact that I have been very busy with uni work. As the semester rolls into its climactic phase, I expect I'll have even less time to spend blogging my zany adventures and improving my site. In a month, classes will be finished and I'll be on swot vac - then into exams - so updates will probably be rather sporadic until then.

In terms of site improvements, expect a few (primarily aesthetic) enhancements to the commenting system and little else. Come holidays, I might actually get around to making some of the other sections of my site, but for the moment I'm pretty happy with the way things are.

In other news, Claire bought eight baby chickens last week, and they are extremely cute. In fact, I had forgotten just how exceedingly cute chickens are, since it's been years since we've had any. I find it especially interesting to watch them sleep, as unlike mature chickens that perch and sleep 'standing up', they just hit the sack and slump over on the ground.

I also had a really funny photo of a very evil-looking Claire pretending to eat one of the chickens. I wanted to put it on here but she won't let me. She won't let me put it on a t-shirt either :(

Hmmm, what else to say...?

Lax had a haircut! (About time too). Went to the Mueller College fete last night to enjoy the fireworks (which were damn good!), then went to Baj's place for movies and pizza. The real Adrian was discovered and apparantly he's a maths professor in WA... or something. I bought my ticket for Episode 3 (Cinema5 was all booked out so Lip and I are going Chermside, which is still pretty good).

And that about covers everything. I must now get back to my work, so until next time, keep it real, and may God bless you all!

so I'm cruising to Grace today, rounding the Burpengary bird sanctuary, and a cycle cop comes zooming the other way. I glance down at the speedo - doing 70 (in a 70 zone), it's all good.

Round the corner and down the straight. Decide I might actually wait until I reach the 80 sign before I speed up to 80... just in case.

Glance in the mirror, and what do you know - I'm being ghosted! And on go the lights!

I pull it over - handbrake on, radio off. Cop approaches.

"G'day. Senior Constable [insert name here]; how are you going this afternoon?"

"Fine thank you... yourself?"

"Good thanks. Have you got a licence there I can look at matey?"

"Sure do."

I go for the wallet. Cop takes a look at the front of my car.

"Here you go."

Cop takes a look at licence.

"So... Fraser, are you still living at [street address]?"

"Certainly am."

Cop gives back licence. "No worries, have a nice afternoon."

"You too..."

Cop gets back on bike, chucks a uie. I head back on my way, thoroughly perplexed (and I still am) at what just took place.
