one thing is for sure. It's certainly not winter anymore!
The rugs are off, the fans are on, and I can't believe I'm complaining already because it's gonna get a helluva lot worse! Heaven forbid, I might even have to cut back on the folding! Sevem computers at full load is... certainly not going to have a cooling effect.
It's gonna be a looong hot summer.

well, yesterday avo, a (big) bunch of us headed up the coast for a very special occasion! It was a splendid afternoon, and especially so because the special occasion was none other than the baptism of Katrina cyBorg and Zoe Laack. Way to go, girls! Mmm, It's difficult to find the words to say, but way to go! May God bless your lives abundantly, and may you continue to be the amazing blessing you are to all who know you!

well, the first of our lovely gorgeous dayolds from may has laid her first egg! Marjory Stuart-Baxter (yep... that's her name) laid a quaint little brown egg today, and I'm going to have it for breakfast tomorrow morning. That is... if noone beats me too it.
Although they're Claire's chickens and she'd probably be stroppy if I ate the first egg... but meh.
So, one question remains, regarding Marjory's eggs. Do they taste like sunshine dust?

well, haha oh yeah! okay first up, more crazy dreams!
right, so yesterday I was pretty damn tired and still a bit crook, and I don't know if that has anything to do with all my crazy dreams... maybe it does. Perhaps it's the weather, I don't know.
Aaanyway, this is what happened:
I went to the casino, and as one does, spent a few minutes checking out what was going down at all the roulette tables before having a dabble. All of a sudden, some guy with a few grand of chips jumps up and says 'I've gotta run out for a bit, would you mind my chips?'. So, with mucho glee I agree to do this...
So... here I am with a pile of chips that some random has just given to me... what to do, what to do? A grand on black! :D Fortunately, I won that one and followed up with a few small-fry bets and all of sudden I look down, and my pile of chips has grown considerably... yet I do not remember winning that much. By the look of it, I have at least doubled the guy's money. So I asked the other folk at the table, "How much did this guy have when he left?" to which they responded with some affirmity, "Three thousand". I pulled three grand from the pool, gave it to the dealer to look after, and headed to the cashier.
The cashier ran the chipolas through his fancy little chip-counting machine and said, to my absolute amazement, "Twenty-nine thousand dollars". zOMG!!! I couldn't believe it!!! How did this happen. "Get lucky, eh?" asked the cashier, to which I replied "... I think so...". But for the life of me I couldn't actually remember winning that money. Obviously the cashier picked up on that uncertainty and before long, the security tape was being reviewed.
Much to my disdain, it appeared the dealer had made some massive error and given me a pile of chips I didn't win. "Sorry sir, but you cannot have this money". Awww...
...and that was the end of my dream! Freakin weird!
Anyhow, this was 100% not what I was going to blog but the moment I started I remembered this, so I'll save the rest for another time :)

I remember now. Firefox 1.5 Beta 1 is out. Lots of new features and enhancements. Quite stable and, IMHO, quite suitable for everyday use if you don't use extensions (indeed, many are compatible anyway).
My favourite new features are the ability to rearrange tabs (finally!!!) and a built-in SVG viewer. XForms support (by way of a plugin) and plenty of new/fixed CSS implementations are also worth a mention.
In summary... download and install this... or wait a couple of weeks until the production release - sif wait though ;)

I would just like to mention that today was a splendid day, and I just felt like sharing that. Truly, an absolutely beautiful day, and I myself had quite a good one, to complement the niceness of weather.
Hmm... I'm sure I had intended to write something else tonight, but I've forgotten so I'm going to go to bed early.

ah man... well I got back from the coast about 6:30 this evening, bummed around for a bit, had some tucker and got stuck into an important task; making a Atmel AVR programmer circuit. My neck rather does hurt after all that assembly and soldering. Actually it wasn't really all that complex but of course I'm not terribly proficient with a soldering iron, and I like to make things as neat as possible... so it took quite a while. And all that adds to neck hurtage, so now I'm going to go to bed and sleep :)

hi hi.
hmmm... well I'll be offline for a couple of days *gasp*.
I'm going down the Gold Coast for a Suzuki workshop. Suzuki violin, for those of you playing (haaa) at home. I'm looking forward to it, but not the 7am departure tomorrow morning. As such, tonight will be the first night in... possibly weeks, that I'm hitting the sack before midnight. Spooky.
Anyhoo, as you have probably also noticed, I have a new banner. Matches the colour theme a bit better and I've done a few other tweaks to do with the header. As per usual though, it certainly isn't a permanent arrangement. I'll change it again just as soon as I get bored of it :)

well... I took the plunge, and registered a domain!
introducing... frase.id.au! I decided that that was the next best since I couldn't get frase.net. I'll be on that one like a hawk if ol' Wolfgang misses his renewal though :]
So the new one is active and running (although the dns traversal is still a bit in disagreement with itself), and I've updated everything I can think of to point to the new domain. frase.homeip.net will still stick around for a while, and some time in the not too distant future I'll just redirect it to frase.id.au, rather than serving it.
I'll also set up an email addy for myself, as one does. The mail server is all working nicely now, btw :)
Sometime in the next few days I'll update all the internal links and then the transition will be comlete :) Oh, and of course, the banner will need redoing.
And that's all I have to say about that. frase.id.au. same crap, different name :P

hmm... I don't even know what to write tonight, but I'm waiting for Nessus to finish a local scan so I guess I'll just blab for a bit.
Well! Since the beginning of this month I've had bar of Top Deck, and also some icecream with Milo on it, and it was all very nice! MMmmmmm.... chocolate :)
What else is news? I've once again decided to tackle the problem of a mail server (lack thereof) and so I've been working on that lately, when I've had time to spare. So far I've got IMAP working, and authenticated SMTP relaying. The problem is that all SMTP comms are currently requiring authentication, and thus, no mail is being delivered for hosted domains. Of course, this will mean very little to a lot of ppl, but shmeh. I'm close... so close. So soon you'll be able to email me at fraser@frase.homeip.net, or something along those lines... hopefully, if all goes to plan.
mmmmmm. well, I'd write more, but there isn't really much to write. Bagurk!!!
PS - I couldn't think of a title so I just wrote in some lyrics to the song I'm listening to. If you can guess the song, I'll give you a free Death Bar.
